A WORD FROM THE PRESIDENT
THEhe 2020-2021 season is to be forgotten, COVID has passed through there as a huge obstacle to sports activities and even beyond sports.
Overall except for outdoor activities like Cross Training and Parkour Kids, we experienced around 8 weeks of activity out of a potential 36 weeks per year.
Like all good athletes and others, we must now bounce back and consider turning our gaze to the 2021-2022 season.
During the 2020-2021 season, we reflected on the evolution of certain sports practices, such as:
- The Baby Motricité which will join the Trampoline section
- The Trampoline which will try to offer additional activities such as Teamgym, Tumbling, Rhythmic Gymnastics and the mini Trampoline
- Cross Training which is now structured as a separate section within the club
- The Handball section which has merged with the neighboring club DAC Handball in order to set up an important structure which should carry the colors of the agglomeration the USDV HB to the highest level.
- Adult Swimming will have to adapt to a drastic reduction in the slots offered at the Saint Rémy sur Avre swimming pool during the 18 to 24 months of the renovation work on our swimming pool.
- The Swimming Competition which will have to be organized to at least maintain the training of the young and regional groups, but this unfortunately risks penalizing the masters, and the Water-polo unless it is possible to find some additional slots at the pool from Saint Rémy-sur-Avre
- The Parkour Kids section to face the growing success will open additional spaces
- The Tennis Competition and Leisure sections become one, namely the Tennis section, which will however have to be organized at its next general meeting.
As we can read, the activities will evolve, it is certainly the fruit of the reflections carried out during this period of pandemic. The future will tell us if we are right to change how we operate.
As always, thank you to the City of Vernouillet, the Departmental Council and the Regional Council for financial and material assistance.
Thank you to the sports department for their flawless collaboration in the practice of physical activities.
